The President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, said that Somaliland will not receive international aid to hand over its power to foreigners.
The president, who spoke at the commemoration event on May 18, said that it is time for elections, and that the international community has nothing to do with the Somaliland elections.
“We are preparing for elections, the enemy will not control our elections, the international community will not interfere with our elections, they will not interfere with our laws, and the man who lies is a fool who does not trust his country,” said President Bihi.
He said that the funds for the elections are for Somaliland, and they are self-sufficient, but he does not accept that anyone else controls the elections.
“The economy of the election is for Somaliland, I am supporting you, give me your advice, we will not do it, we will not do it, and the economy is self-sufficient,” said President Bihi.
The president mentioned that Somaliland has changed its leadership in a way of handing over guns and at the same time, he will go to the legal system.
