Somalia’s armed forces court today sentenced Mohamed Abdullahi Haji Ali (Jawari) of Al-Shabaab to ten years in military prison.
According to Colonel Mohamed Abdi Muumin, who is a member of the First Class Court of the Armed Forces, the judge was found guilty of being in charge of espionage for al-Shabaab.
Mohamed Abdi joined Al-Shabaab in Jilib district in 2013. He received training in Abu-Zubayr camp between Jilib and Bu’ale, which lasted for three months, and was taught the use of weapons.
After his training, he and the trained team were transported to the Galgaduud region, especially Wabxo and Elbur, where he was said to have been part of two raids made by the Ethiopian Army.
NISA forces arrested this man in November last year in Peace Park in Hamar Jajab district.
