The former president of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, has released a statement on his Facebook page, discussing many issues concerning the country’s situation.
Farmajo first said that in the recent meeting with President Hassan Sheikh in Doxa, he discussed the importance of leading a national consultation to deal with the current situation related to the amendment of the constitution, the structure of the country’s administration and the dangers facing it. independence and unity of the country.
Farmajo also said in his writing that he welcomes the consultation meeting announced by the president of the Puntland administration Saeed Abdullahi Deni, calling on the former and current leaders to attend the meeting.
“I welcome the meeting in Garowe to discuss issues that are important to the country, calling on the former leaders of the country and those in office to participate in the meeting, which is of great importance for the country which is currently going through a critical phase,” said Farmajo. said in his post.
The former president of Somalia also sent a serious message to the Somali Parliament and asked them to be aware of the company and not to take actions that are not compatible with each other.
“I suggest to the two Houses of Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Government that while the meeting is going on, they should refrain from inconsistent measures related to the suspension of the constitution and changes in the country’s administrative system. There is no time when our country needs to unite to prevent internal instability and how to protect our people and our country from the external threats we are facing, and put aside the steps that lead to political division in the country.” Farmajo said in his statement.
Farmajo’s statement comes at the same time as the re-elected president of Puntland, Saeed Deni, has announced a meeting to be held in Garowe by the top leaders of the country and regional governments, which will discuss the sensitive issues in the country.
