The President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, has appointed a new minister for the Ministry of Defense, after the former Minister of Defense recently resigned.
The president has appointed a new minister in a decree issued by the presidency.
The former Minister of Defense of Somaliland, Abdiqani Mohamud Aateeye, recently resigned, after he was not satisfied with the agreement reached by Somaliland and Ethiopia on April 1.
The minister said that the agreement on the sea is dubious and that he and his community are against it, as he said in an interview he gave to Horyaal TV.
The president also removed the Deputy Minister of Education Abdihakin Saeed Bustale and replaced him with Mohamud Yusuf Ilmi.
