The president said that the successive statements coming from Ethiopian officials represent a serious violation of the independence, unity, and territorial integrity of Somalia.
“I stress that the repeated reckless and irresponsible statements by the Ethiopian authorities constitute a grave violation of the sovereignty of the people of Ethiopia. , unity, and territorial integrity of Somalia, which shows that the basic principles of international law are not fully respected.” President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said.
The statement of the President of Somalia came at a time when the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed said today that the landlocked countries are facing challenges that prevent them from meeting the needs of their people in order to have a sufficient and sustainable life and to ensure their development.
Abiy Ahmed said Ethiopia will continue to seek a mutually beneficial peaceful solution and negotiations to resolve these challenges.
