The Somali Civil Aviation Authority today turned back a cargo plane registered in Thailand that was heading to Hargeisa.
The plane that was returned from the air of Somalia was said to have flown to the city of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, which refused to give details about the materials it carried.

The news from the Civil Aviation Authority also stated that the Somali airspace cannot enter a plane that does not have any information related to its flight.
“The plane failed to provide the cargo information, and the Somali Civil Aviation Authority took a legal decision stating that no plane can enter Somalia without information about the purpose of the trip and what it is carrying. and the plane was turned back to enter Somalia’s airspace,” said a news release from the Somali Civil Aviation Authority.
