Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Misganu Arga, said that Ethiopia is strongly opposed to the Arab League’s statement, which said that Ethiopia should withdraw from the agreement between it and Somaliland in Addis Ababa.

The Minister of State also said that the statement made by the Arab League is an attempt to interfere in the internal affairs and independence of Ethiopia, as stated by the Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Misganu Arga.

The Arab League in a meeting yesterday supported the Government of Somalia and the protection of its independence while on the other hand condemned the Government of Ethiopia after the agreement was signed with Somaliland. .

The Ethiopian government has often resisted many efforts to resolve the conflict between Ethiopia and Somalia that resulted from the recent agreement between the Ethiopian and Somaliland governments in Addis Ababa.

The Ethiopian government still insists on its position of implementing the agreement, saying that there is no obstacle to the maritime agreement.
