The spokesperson of the Somali Police Force, Sadiq Aden Ali Doodishe, who recently held a press conference in Mogadishu, said that the people behind the stone attack on the bus carrying South West players on the 12th of this month have been arrested.
A spokesman said that these people were arrested in a joint operation by the Police and NISA in Mogadishu.
These people consist of 11 people, three of whom are women, who the speaker said are the special suspects in the attack on the South West team, when they were heading to their home in Mogadishu.
“The army, NISA and the police were able to arrest the people behind the attack on the South West team who threw stones and injured several players. They will be brought to court so that the law can be applied. Many people were arrested in the operation. but there were minors who were released,” said Somali Police Spokesman Sadiq Doodishe.
He also called on the government officials and government forces who visit the stadium to follow the instructions of the stadium.
“The authorities and the armed forces that enter the airport illegally must abide by the law and not do illegal things under the authority of the government,” said the speaker.
The police spokesman also said that a plan has been put in place to stabilize the security of the Mogadishu football stadium, and that things against security will not happen again.
