The administration of Banadir region has challenged the decision of the Somali football association, which deducted three points from the Banadir regional team due to the violence that took place yesterday in the match between Banadir and Hirshabeelle.
The administration of Banadir region said that they are not responsible for the mistakes made by the supporters of the stadium, saying that there are no fans registered for Banadir region or those who have given tickets to the stadium to support them.
The administration called for the relationship to conduct an investigation, and to be vigilant against any action that may disrupt the smooth running of the regional government competition and the Banadir region. They also said that they are sorry for the problem that happened at the airport and the people it affected.
It was yesterday when fans threw stones at the stadium, injuring several people. The game was stopped in the second half.
The competition ethics committee decided to award the three points in yesterday’s game to the Hirshabeelle team, after the Banadir fans were accused of creating chaos.
