The minister of information of the Puntland administration, Mohamud Ayid Dirir, said that many of the members of the SSC-Khatumo have chosen the members of their communities to represent the new parliament of Puntland.
The Minister of Information said that names alone do not have the power to elect the parliament. He said the heads of the communities have submitted the people they want to sign as members of parliament.
Minister Aydeed described the decision of Issima SSC-Khatumo as incorrect, and said that the elders advised Puntland to be thrown into chaos, and Muse Bihi should attack SSC-Khatumo areas again.
“SSC-Khatumo name advice was not an acceptable advice to move.” But, the elders were in trouble and they were opening him up. “Many of them regretted that advice and admitted that the youths who stood in front of the microphones were dissuading him,” said Minister Aydeed.
However, Minister Aydeed and other members of President Deni’s cabinet from SSC-Khatumo are set to appear in the new list of the Puntland parliament.
Yesterday, the candidates accused President Deni of boycotting the SSC-Khatumo seats, saying that they have lost confidence in the dispute resolution committee.
