A meeting between President Hassan Sheikh and Muse Bihi who spoke about Somaliland.

The President of Somaliland, Muse Bihi Abdi, and a delegation led by him, left for Djibouti this morning, where he will meet with the President of Somalia, to continue the talks between the two sides.

“The purpose of the trip led by the President’s delegation is to continue the dialogue between Somaliland and Somalia, which will begin at the level of Presidents,” said a press release from the Somaliland Presidency.

The talks between Somaliland and Somalia have been going on intermittently for the last ten years, without any concrete results so far.

The President of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, has sat down the two sides several times.

The President is also accompanied by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Saad Ali Shire, Planning, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Diriye (Toorno), Internal Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Kahin Ahmed, Education, Ahmed Aden Buxane and Somaliland’s Special Envoy in charge of Somaliland-Somalia dialogue Mrs. Edna Adan Ismail from Djibouti ahead of the President’s delegation.
