The High Court of Puntland rejected the decision of the SSC-Khatumo, who said that they did not elect MPs to the Puntland administration.
In a press release issued by the deputy chairman of the Supreme Court, he said that the decision made by the SSC-Khatumo is not in accordance with the procedure for the separation of the two administrations.
The deputy governor said that Puntland has the right to select the parliamentarians in the way they were previously selected, saying that after the election a solution will be reached on the decision to name SSC-Khatumo.
He said that if the names are not selected, the former MPs will be the legal ones who will continue to work until the completion of the Puntland election process.
