Garad Jama Garad Ali, a member of the SSC-Khatumo culture council, underlined that the issue of SSC will never be negotiated, saying that 700 people have died to decide their own fate.
Garada, who was speaking in Lascaanood town, said that there is nothing in the news that people want MPs from SSC to represent the Puntland region.
“These people have authority. He made a decision. That authority is in plain sight. There was no turning back. 700 people, men and women, were martyred so that no one can rule over these people,’ said Jama Garad Ali.
Garaad Jama’s statement coincided with reports that SSC-Khatumo intellectuals want to sign the 17 MPs of the Dhulbahante community in Punland.
On the other hand, the Committee for Resolution of Disputes and Approval of Members of Parliament is said to have conducted the application of MP candidates from the SSC-Khatumo area.
Some of them are members of President Deni’s cabinet, who want to be part of the Puntland parliament.
