More news is coming out of a planned operation in collaboration with the Federal Government of Somalia and international friends that took place in the last few hours in the village of Helo Baad in Hiran region.
The operation was said to have killed more than 60 members of the Al-Shabaab group in the village of Hela Badad between the towns of Halgan and Baledweyne.
The officers who led the operation told the national media that the operation lasted for many hours and the troops also destroyed the positions of the group in the village of Helo Baad.
This area where this heavy operation took place, which caused a lot of damage to Al-Shabaab, was one of the areas that were liberated from Al-Shabaab last year.
This operation also coincides a day after the leader of the public defense force, Ali Jeyte Osman, announced that they will launch an air and ground attack on the places where the Al-Shabaab group is located or they have returned.
