Somalia’s armed forces court sentenced two men who were spies for al-Shabaab to 15 years in prison.
Ahmed Hassan Bariyow and Adan Mohamed Qoslaye, who joined al-Shabaab in 2012 and 2020, the prosecution said that they were spies who checked the killings and attacks from Mogadishu to Ceelasha.
These two men were among the users of mind-selecting substances such as hashish.
Ahmed Hassan Bariyow, who has held this job for 10 years, told the prosecution that Qoslaye convinced him to do this job.
The intelligence agencies of the government have already said that al-Shabaab is using people who use drugs, taking advantage of their circumstances.
