The Galmudug administration has denied allegations from the security leadership of the Ethiopian Somali regional government that Galmudug was involved in a war in Shilabo district in the Korakhey region.

Galmudug Government Information Minister Abshir Abdi Sheikhow who spoke to the BBC said that the fight that took place in Shilabo was between residents of the Somali Regional Government.

He also said that no troops from Galmudug have crossed the border with the Somali regional government of Ethiopia.

“We are aware of the war that took place there, and there is no special relationship between us and the administration of the local government. We have only seen the allegations, and there is no Galmudug army that has crossed the border of Ethiopia, and the accusations are a matter of ease for the administration of that area,” he said. said Minister Abshir.

The security leader of the Somali regional government, Dayib Ahmed Nur, gave an interview to the media and said that last Sunday night, armed gunmen attacked a village under Deg. Shilabo in the Somali area, where 12 people were killed including civilians and government forces. The local government said that the people who carried out the attack had crossed over from the Somali side.
