Reports from Gedo region say that last night, Kenyan government warplanes carried out airstrikes in areas under Eelwaq district.
Kenyan warplanes are reporting that last night’s airstrikes hit the areas of Khadijo Haji and Faxfax, one of the areas under Eelwaq district in Gedo region.
It is not yet known the official damage caused by the attacks by the Kenyan planes in these areas under Eelwaq, but they affected the people of these areas who are mostly pastoralists.
There has been no news from the Kenyan government and the Gedo administration regarding the airstrikes carried out by Kenyan planes in the areas under Elwaq, but the Kenyan government says that the airstrikes carried out by its warplanes in Gedo region are aimed at the Al-Shabaab group.
The airstrikes carried out by Kenyan planes in the areas of Khadijo Haji and Faxfax are coming to an end, as Kenya has recently reduced the airstrikes it used to carry out regularly in different areas of Gedo region.
