“The president said why he came to join the local army of Maawisleyda to join the national forces in the fight against al-Shabaab, because the Maawisleydas of Hiran were the first to show the Somali people and the world that it is possible to fight against al-Shabaab, which freed them from all Eastern Hiran region and parts of the Middle Shabelle,” said Minister Abdirisaq Omar.
