The Minister of Internal Affairs of Somalia, Ahmed Macalin Fiqi, said that an attack destroyed the base of the Al-Shabaab group in Dumaye, which is under Harardhere.
Minister of the Interior, Mr. Fiqi, in a message on Facebook, said that he completely destroyed the base that was attacked.
“The Khawarij base in Dumaye, which is under Harardere, was completely destroyed this morning,” said the minister.
Dumaye area is about 50 km north of Harardere district in Mudug region. It is an important area where Al-Shabaab had large bases.
In this area, it is remembered that they have already fought against Al-Shabaab and the local herdsmen, who opposed the orders imposed by Al-Shabaab.
This attack came at a time when al-Shabaab were gathering in Harardheere district, fearing that they would attack Harardheere district.
Al-Shabaab began to expand in the areas where the troops left Galgadud region, which was a setback for the liberation operations in Galmudug.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said last night that the government forces have been reorganized and are returning to the fields.
