The battle came after the Al-Shabaab group attacked from several directions in Qoryoley district in the Lower Shabelle region.
A press release from the Ministry of Information of Somalia said that the attack was resisted by the government forces, and more than 30 Al-Shabaab members were killed.
Residents who spoke to the media said that the fight was intense and lasted for one hour, which took place in the district, and the parties used different types of weapons.
“The national army and international friends have destroyed the explosives vehicles that were carrying the Khawarij and wanted to harm the community.
