The administration of Banadir region has arrested 4 engineers for the loss of life and injuries caused by the collapse of two storey buildings in Hawlwadaag district.
The spokesperson of the Banadir regional government, Salah Dheere, said that the Banadir regional government has appointed a committee to investigate the incident, to provide a complete report on the cause of the collapse of the building.
The spokesperson said that 4 of the engineers who were in charge of the building were arrested, who are believed to be responsible for the problem, and said that they will be held accountable and brought before the law.
Salah Dheere said the administration of Banadir region will issue guidelines to manage the engineers and companies working on the buildings, in order to prevent this problem from returning again.
The spokesman said that there is no danger that civilians will die due to poor technical skills and lack of knowledge by the people who were responsible for the collapsed buildings.
However, a mother and her daughter died in the rubble of the two collapsed buildings. they lived in a house under the collapsed building.
