According to reports, the Federal Government of Somalia forces have withdrawn from some of the areas recently taken over by the Al-Shabaab group.
The Somali language branch of VOA said that the government forces have retreated from the areas of El Dheer, Masagaway, Budbud and Galcad, all of which are part of the Galgadud region.
This news comes at the same time as the government forces withdrew from the Wabxo area yesterday and returned to the Al-Shabaab group.
No fighting has been reported in these areas where the Federal Government troops have retreated.
On the other hand, the commander of the 26th brigade of Ali Ibnu Abu-Talib, Major Ismail Abdimalik, who is in Albur district, said that the government forces in some areas have left the war strategy.
“There are small things that have been retreated due to strategy and slowly withdrawn from the rear, and the army that captured Albur is self-sufficient,” said Major Ismail Abdimalik.
