In a press release issued by the SSC-Khatumo administration, it was stated that the presence of Somaliland in the regions of Sool, Sanaag and Ayn has ended.
In the press release addressed to the government of Somalia, the international community, and the Somali nation, it was said that SSC-Khatumo defended the independence of Somalia.
“Laasanood, August, 28, 2023: The administration of SSC-Khatumo informs the Federal Government of Somalia, the international community and the Somali nation that the people of SSC ended the oppressive invasion of Somaliland by defending their honor and the independence of Somalia”.
It was also stated in the press release that the prisoners captured in Somaliland will be treated properly based on international rules, and some of them will be brought to court for war crimes.
