The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who was accompanied by the President of the Galmudug Administration, Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qorqor, held a meeting with some members of the Somali National Women’s Association last night in the city of Dhusamareb.
The meeting was also attended by other officials including the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Information, the Minister of State of the Ministry of Health of the Government of Somalia, the Minister of Women of Galmudug and the Chairman of the National Awareness Committee.
The meeting came after some officials of the Somali National Women’s Association went to Dhusamareb to support and encourage the armed forces fighting against the Al-Shabaab group.
The President of the Federal Government firstly praised Somali women for the good role they play in supporting, encouraging the national forces and raising public awareness in the fight against the Al-Shabaab group, urging them to redouble their role in the struggle to liberate their areas. Al-Shabaab is hiding inside the country.
Somali national women officials have shared with President Hassan Sheikh advice and views on the fight to eliminate Al-Shabaab, promising that they will always stand by their sons who are part of the struggle to free the country from Al-Shabaab.
However, the President of the Federal Government of Somalia is in the third week in the city of Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug, saying that he is there to speed up the war against Al-Shabaab, which will conclude its first phase.
