The National Center for the Prevention and Combating of Extremist Ideas Tubsan of the Federal Government of Somalia has presented a new opportunity for Al-Shabaab fighters to take advantage of the amnesty law, by surrendering to the Somali government.
A statement issued by the national center in Tubsan said that all members of the Al-Shabaab group who want to leave Al-Shabaab and surrender to the government can contact a special number that the center has prepared to help them.
“Terrorists do not want you to die or live in suffering, they call you to shed the blood of the Somali people who are 100% Muslim or they shed yours, which is a community in this world and the hereafter. But the government is always ready to help you. so that you can have a better life and future. So return to the body and the thoughts of terrorists and take advantage of the opportunity of amnesty that the government of Somalia has given you,” said the statement issued by the national center in Tubsan.
The statement of the Tubsan center also said that the members who surrendered to the government will have opportunities to be part of the normal life, and the statement also called on the parents of their children who are in Al-Shabaab to contact the center and keep the information. The members surrendered, according to Tubsan’s statement.
