A meeting was held today in Mogadishu where the Finance Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia, the regional governments of the country and the administration of Banadir region.

The conference will discuss the issues of the tax unification law, the financial reform and the completion of debt relief conditions, and it will last for two days.

The Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia, Bihi Iman Cige, who was flanked by the Minister of State Raaho Janaqow and Deputy Minister of Finance Abdiqafar, officially opened the meeting.

The Minister of Finance, Bihi Iman, who gave a brief speech at the opening of the meeting, said that it is important for the meeting to focus on the priorities of reforming the country’s finances, unifying the tax system, development projects supported by international partners throughout Somalia and completing the terms of the loan forgiveness program. .

The meeting opened today for the Federal Minister of Finance, the regional governments and the Banadir region was attended by the Minister of Finance of the Puntland administration.
