The Chairman of the People’s Assembly of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Noor (Madobobe), together with the Chairman of the Upper House, Abdi Hashi Abdullahi, held a joint meeting today at the center of the board and committees in Villa Hargeisa.
The meeting discussed the points that emerged from the agreement reached by the National Consultation Forum and which the government submitted to the chairmanship of the two Houses of the Somali Parliament.
The committee of the two Houses of the Federal Parliament of Somalia handed over the copies of the agreement of the National Consultation Forum to the Committee for the Review, Monitoring and Implementation of the Constitution.
Representative Hussein Idow, who is the chairman of the Committee for the review of the monitoring and implementation of the Constitution, who received the copies of the agreement at the national consultation forum, said that they will quickly start the work of reviewing the Constitution.
“Today, the Committee of the two Houses of Parliament handed over to us the copies of the agreement reached by the National Consultative Council on May 27 of this year, which we will work on as soon as possible,” said MP Hussain Idow.
The chairman of the two houses instructed the committee to write a constitutional language and present it to the Federal Parliament of Somalia, and the committee received the copies of the agreement of the National Consultation Forum.
