The National Security Agency and the National Intelligence Agency have today seized military equipment and supplies at the Port of Mogadishu that were said to be going to Al-Shabaab.
A press release from the Somali National Intelligence Agency said that today the army has seized a commercial product that was being smuggled into the country. while working on it.
NISA also said that it was aware of the activities and relations of a wide network abroad, in Mogadishu and the regions of the country, who were working together in the procurement of the shipment, unloading at the port until it was delivered to the hands of the Al-Shabaab group.
“All the network that was working on this issue, which consists of more than 10 people, NISA managed to put them in their hands without anyone escaping. Up to four vehicles prepared to carry these devices to deliver them to the hands of the Khawarij Enemy. Another was captured by the Somali intelligence. The Somali intelligence seized goods destined for the enemy that were unloaded from the airport in Mogadishu,” said the press release from NISA.
NISA also said that they are among the people who are in the hands of big businessmen that the government has given permission to bring various products into the country.
“The port and the airport are two important resources for the country. The capture of these tools and goods is proof of the hard work of the country’s security agencies and how our intelligence information has strengthened. gave permission to bring the things that our people need, but instead it seems that they are bringing into the country something that is dangerous to the country and the people,” said the news from NISA.
