Six years after the murder of Jordan Marples-Douglas in Sheffield in 2020, South Yorkshire Police said Ismail Mohamoud Adan, a suspect in the case, is still at large after leaving the UK for Somalia the day after the incident.
According to the report, 23-year-old Jordan Marples-Douglas was stabbed to death in March 2020, with Ben Jones previously convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 21 years in prison.
A woman named Dina Aweimrin was also found guilty of aiding and abetting a fugitive after she helped Ismail Mohamoud Adan travel out of the UK and was sentenced to three years in prison in 2021.
The family of Jordan Marples-Douglas said that although some of those involved in the case have been convicted, they have not received full justice as the other accused remains at large.
South Yorkshire Police has again appealed to the public for anyone with information about the whereabouts of Ismail Mohamoud Adan to contact law enforcement, so that the investigation can be completed and he can be brought to justice.
