A Puntland Dervish army officer who was welcomed by Major Abdirahman Cabirisaq Weyrax was questioned about the situation in Garowe city.
Politicians have reported in the media a few days ago that the signs related to the lack of salaries and health maintenance that he said were facing a solution and the Puntland Dervish army in the 54th camp in Garowe.
He also said that some Dervish soldiers recently apologized to Garowe for their poor health, after they were released from hospitals due to financial difficulties and inability to sell medical supplies.
Major Weyrax added that some of the Puntland Dervish soldiers have not been paid for 24 months, a salary that he said had a significant impact on the living and health conditions of the soldiers.
His family told WARSOM that he was called to the gate of the 54th camp yesterday morning, and immediately upon arriving there, he was informed that he was under arrest. They added that he was arrested inside the 54th camp.
A source close to the arrested officer told HOL that his arrest was ordered by Puntland authorities, and did not reveal any official information about the smartwatch models.
The officer’s arrest comes at a time of growing unrest over unpaid wages and living conditions among some Puntland soldiers.
