The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia has said that it strongly condemns the attacks and armed intervention by any foreign country, especially the wars and bombings carried out by Iran against several Arab countries.
The statement issued by the Ministry stated that these attacks, which have caused destruction and humanitarian losses, are a clear violation of the sovereignty and integrity of these countries.
The Ministry affirmed that Somalia fully supports the countries: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, and Oman, encouraging them to take any action they deem lawful to defend security, protect their people, and protect their territory.
“Somalia expresses its deep concern about the crisis in the region, and stands with the countries affected by these armed acts, first of all noting the full support it provides to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, and the Sultanate of Oman,” the statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Somalia said.
However, the Somali government specifically excluded the UAE from this report due to political differences between Mogadishu and Abu Dhabi, which resulted in it not being officially included in the list of countries affected by the Iranian strikes.
Finally, the ministry statement stated that Somalia supports all peaceful efforts to resolve regional conflicts, and urged all parties to return to dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful solutions in order to achieve lasting peace, stability, and coexistence.
