The Northeastern State Police Force of Somalia is conducting a massive manhunt for the suspect behind a murder that took place in Tafafle area of Sool region.
The incident is said to have occurred on 05 February 2026, at around 5:00 pm. The incident resulted in the death of the late Awal Abdiqadir Khaliif Ina Dhool Abdiqani Khadar Yare, aged 30.
According to the security forces, the suspect in the murder has been identified as Arte Saleebaan Jama Aden, known as (Cartan), who fled the scene after the incident.
The Northeastern State Police Force said that they are conducting operations to find the suspect and are determined to arrest him and bring him to justice.
The police have called on the community living in Sool region to cooperate with security forces and provide any information that may help in the arrest of the suspect.
The police also urged anyone with information related to the suspect to contact police.
