The UN Security Council held an emergency meeting on the situation in Sudan and the recent massacre in the city of Al-Feshir, Sudan

The Council discussed at its meeting how to overcome the problems occurring in Sudan, and the Council called on the parties to the conflict in the country to resume the previously ongoing talks.

The proposal for this emergency meeting was made by six countries that asked the Security Council to urgently address the painful problems occurring in Sudan, and these countries are the UK, Algeria, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Guyana and Denmark, according to the spokesperson of the UN Secretary-General.

These countries demanded that the Council find a lasting and immediate solution to the problems that occurred this week in the city of Al-Feshir, which killed civilians and caused the displacement of thousands of other civilians.

The problems that occurred in Sudan this week have drawn the attention of the international community, RSF, which is supported by the United Arab Emirates.
