Armed groups described as bandits killed and injured a young boy early this morning on the outskirts of Beledweyne, the capital of Hiran region.

Two boys were confirmed dead after being shot by bandits while the other was seriously injured, according to local media reports from a relative of the deceased boy.

The incident of killing and wounding took place in the area of ​​Helekilyo village, 4 km northeast of Beledweyne.

The bandits who committed the killing and wounding are reported to have fled the scene of the incident, and there is no news yet from the security forces in Beledweyne district.

“The two boys, one killed and one injured, were driving a donkey cart loaded with Bal to the Bal market in the town of Beledweyne, and they were attacked by bandits who wanted to rob them,” said a relative of the boy who was killed.
