Serbia and Somalia Agree to Hold Military Exercise.

The Somali Minister of Defense, Ahmed Macalin Fiqi, held a fruitful meeting with his Serbian counterpart, Bratislav Gašić, in Belgrade, focusing on strengthening military cooperation between the two countries.

The discussions between the two Ministers focused on opportunities for defense cooperation, underlining the commitment of both countries to enhance military cooperation.

During the meeting, Minister Fiqi stressed the importance of security and stability in the region, and highlighted Somalia’s efforts to combat terrorism and promote peace within its borders.

The exchange of views on security strategies was a key focus, as the two Ministers recognized the need to share experiences in addressing common security challenges.

Minister Gašić, for his part, expressed Serbia’s readiness to support Somalia in strengthening its defense capabilities. He noted that cooperation in military training, information sharing, and logistical support can greatly contribute to the relations between the two countries.

The ministers also discussed the possibility of conducting joint military exercises and collaborative research in defense technology.
