The Prime Minister of the Government of Somalia, Hamsa Abdi Barre, conveyed to the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Somalia that his Government wishes to provide security assistance to Somalia.
The Prime Minister received in his office the Ambassador of Qatar to Somalia, Dr Abdullah Bin Salem Al Nuaimi, and they discussed strengthening relations and cooperation between the two countries of Somalia and Qatar and how the Government of Qatar could participate in the development of Somalia.
The Prime Minister and the Ambassador discussed how the Government of Qatar could support the Government of Somalia in matters of security, development and the implementation of the New National Transformation Plan (NTP).
The statement issued from the meeting of the two officials also stated that Prime Minister Hamsa thanked Qatar for its support to Somalia, especially in infrastructure projects and the development of basic services such as education and health.
Finally, Ambassador Abdullah noted that they will continue to support the various parties that have always stood by the Government and the people of Somalia.
