On the other hand, reports indicate that last night, warplanes carried out heavy airstrikes in the Alkowsar area, especially at a meeting place where leaders and militia members of the group were holding, and there were casualties and injuries to Al-Shabaab, although there has been no official statement from the government regarding these strikes.
In the Middle Shabelle region, a series of battles have been ongoing against Al-Shabaab in recent times, with the cooperation of government forces, local forces and international partners supporting the operations from the air.
