More reports are coming out of the clashes that took place in the early hours of the morning in areas under Bulaburte district in Hiran region, between the Al-Shabaab group and the government forces with the help of the public defenders.
The fighting came after the allied forces launched a heavy attack on the strong defenses of the group in areas along the Shabelle River, especially in Jiciboow area.
The governor of Hiraan region, Muse Salad Wehliye, who spoke to the media recently about the opening of the war, said that the leaders and militiamen of the Al-Shabaab group were killed in the war this morning.
“We have removed the terrorists from many areas, we have killed six leaders and many militiamen, and we have captured the lives of other members of the terrorists who have broken and are now crossing the Jijibow River in the west,” said the governor of Hiran region, Muse Salad Wehliye.
The fighting that took place this morning in the areas along the Shabelle River is a continuation of the intense fighting that took place in recent weeks between Beera Yabal and Jicibow, which is located on the road and along the Shabelle River, where Al-Shabaab sneaks across.
