The Somali Police Command has given details of the casualties caused by the suicide bombing that took place yesterday afternoon in front of the Bulusiya school camp.
The explosion, which was carried out by a person who planted explosives, killed 7 soldiers and civilians, and injured 6 others.
“Today is 17-Oct-2024 around 15:27hrs or 03:27pm A suicide bomber detonated in the slum in front of the police school grounds where there are trees where people live. Degan Harsadaan. The initial confirmed casualties are the deaths of 07 soldiers and civilians,” said a statement issued by the Somali Police Command.
The place where the suicide bombing took place is one of the most secure places, there are restaurants in front of the camp where most of the people are police officers and soldiers.
The security of the city of Mogadishu in the past few days seemed to be getting out of hand, after the increase in planned killings targeting businessmen in Mogadishu who closed their places of business with cameras ordered by the government.
