The Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia, Abduqadir Mohamed Noor, announced that the new mission to replace ATMIS will soon begin.
He said Minister Jama said that the new operation called AUSSOM will not be part of the Ethiopian forces, if Ethiopia does not withdraw from the agreement with Somaliland.
“The new operation of AUSSOM will start soon and will replace ATMIS, Ethiopia will not be a part of it if it does not retract the false agreement it entered into with the Somaliland administration,” said Somalia’s Defense Minister Abduqadir Mohamed Noor.
The statement made by the Minister of Defense of Somalia comes as the tension between Somalia and Ethiopia is increasing gradually as a result of the agreement between Ethiopia and Somaliland.
Finally, the Minister of Defense of Somalia said that the Somali forces will continue operations against Al-Shabaab in all regions of the country.
