The members of the People’s Assembly of the Federal Parliament of Somalia held the fifth session of its 30th meeting today, and the meeting was presided over by the Speaker of the People’s Assembly, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur, who was accompanied by the second deputy speaker of the People’s Assembly, Abdullahi Omar Abshirow.
The meeting, which opened with 151 members, was first shared by the House of Representatives with the Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Livestock and Marine Resources on the third reading of the Somali Agricultural Chemicals Control Bill and the Somali Agricultural Services and Inspection Bill (SARIS). People’s Assembly MP Mukhtar Mohamed Guled.
Members of the People’s Assembly then voted for the bill and 151 MPs approved the quorum of the meeting, and there were no MPs who refused or remained silent, according to Speaker Sheikh Adan Madobe who announced the results of the vote.
The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation of the Government of Somalia Mohamed Abdi Khair Maareye and the Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Livestock and Marine Resources of the People’s Assembly thanked the Assembly for approving the two bills.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe, who closed the meeting, said that the two bills will be submitted to the House of Representatives, as the closing of the 5th session is a month away, and he thanked the members of the House for fulfilling their constitutional duties. ah.
