The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, speaking about the heavy attack that Iran carried out against Israel last night, said that the attack has been completed and that’s it.
Last night’s attack on Israel by Iran was the use of plastic rockets that reached more than 180 rockets that hit different cities in the country, but the damage caused by the attack has not been officially announced.
Minister Abbas described the attack as one of Israel’s self-defense, after the planned assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31.
“We acted in self-defense, according to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, targeting only the military and security forces who are committing massacres in Gaza and Lebanon,” said Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
He also mentioned to the Minister that Tehran has exercised self-control in the past two years, considering the international efforts to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
The minister warned the Israeli authorities to respond to the attack, noting that if that happens, Tehran’s reaction will be very strong.
Finally, last night’s attack on Israel by Iran is the biggest attack by Iran on Israel, since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023.
