The port of Berbera has been ranked first among the ports with the best service in Sub-Saharan Africa, according to the World Bank’s port evaluation report, while the port of Djibouti has experienced a significant decline in service delivery in the past year, according to the report. mentioned.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somaliland D.R. Isse Kayd Mohamud said that after the signing of the agreement between Somaliland and Ethiopia, Ethiopia will land most of its cargoes from the world at Berbera port.
The government of Djibouti is concerned about Ethiopia’s trade, whose economy is very dependent on the port of Berbera, which has caused Djibouti to offer a port to Ethiopia, although Ethiopia has not yet responded to Djibouti’s request.
