The former president of Somalia, Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, strongly criticized the way the federal government of Somalia is preventing the desire of the Ethiopian government to take part of the land and water of Somalia.
Sheikh Sharif also warned against what he called a tribal organization that has dominated social media and Somali politics in recent days, and called on the government leaders to look at things with a national eye and avoid anything that undermines the power of the people and the country.
“I am sorry that the leaders of the government are busy dividing the forces of the Somali people instead of working to unite the people. It is very regrettable to organize and encourage tribalism and the inappropriate words that are used in the media, it is clear. that the role of the government is lacking in the task of directing, uniting and mobilizing the Somali people to defend their country,” said former president Sheikh Sharif.
The former president of the country noted that the only way to defend the country is togetherness and solidarity to prevent any act that could damage the nationalism and territorial independence of Somalia.
