The Minister of Defense of Turkey and Somalia held a meeting on strengthening cooperation and defense security in Ankara, Turkey.
Minister Abdulqadir Mohamed Nur Jama shared with his Turkish counterpart Yaşar Güler the general situation in the country, especially in terms of security and operations against the Al-Shabaab group.
“I had a fruitful meeting today at the center of the Ministry of Defense of Turkey with my counterpart Mr. Yasar Güler and the Minister of Energy & Natural Resources, Mr. Alparslan Bayraktar. We discussed the development of defense issues and economic development of the two brotherly countries of Turkey and Somalia,” he said. said Somalia’s Defense Minister Abduqadir Mohamed Nur.
The Minister of Defense of Turkey, Yaşar Güler, said that the Turkish government is ready to speed up the agreement between the two countries, and that the Ankara government is fulfilling the promises of the things they agreed on in Somalia.
Finally, Turkey supports Somalia in the fields of security, finance, training and equipping the army, health, education and other things since 2011 and it officially started good relations between the two governments.
