13,250 people including men and women sat for the exam which was inaugurated today by the Minister of Education of the Federal Government of Somalia, Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir, and only 3 thousand are required from this number.

“We have opened the exam for the teachers who applied for the teaching job in 2024. The number of teachers who applied were 26,540. When it was reviewed, there were 13,250 left. Today, 13,000 of them are taking the exam in 45 places in our country, Somalia. , 19 districts in the regional governments and 14 places in the Banadir region are taking these exams,” said Minister Farah Sheikh Abdulqadir.
He also pointed out to Minister Farah Sheikh Abdulqadir that the Ministry has made a lot of effort to apply for teaching jobs in a fair way, as soon as the people who were left in the exclusion were given an opportunity to complain and review what went wrong.
“All the people who were excluded were given an opportunity to complain, so that they can submit their complaints. The people whose complaints were valid were allowed to take the exam,” said Minister of Education Farah Sheikh Abdulqadir.
Finally, Minister Farah Sheikh Abdulqadir mentioned that the teachers who appear in the written exam will go through another oral one, so that the number planned to be taken will be reduced to teachers, saying that special importance will be given to the girls who took the exam.
