Somaliland has presented evidence that it says shows the existence of a rebellion against its existence in Djibouti.
After the government of Djibouti completely denied the existence of a movement against Somaliland in its country, Somaliland’s Minister of Information Ali Hassan Mohamed ‘Ali Mareehaan’ released evidence that he said shows the existence of the rebellion.
“These are the men who claimed Awdal State, they are sitting in the big square where 27 June was celebrated, and only invited people can sit here, they are holding big parties and organizing to raise Somaliland and Awdal region” said Minister Ali Mareehaan.
He said that he did not expect that Djibouti would host a movement against Somaliland, and secondly, they were surprised to deny the existence of the rebel, and he said that they are organizing a large-scale in Djibouti and making frequent speeches against Somaliland. .
He said that both sides have strictly guarded the fraternal relationship between the people of Djibouti and the people of Somaliland, and they expect Djibouti to do something concrete about their grievances.
“We know that Djibouti is a country where no one can come without the government’s knowledge. There was an agreement in the past that the security of the borders was maintained and the pulp was protected. It was not what we expected,” said Minister Ali Marehaan.
The minister said that since the agreement between Ethiopia and Djibouti, they have called dozens of times to speak against Somaliland, but Somaliland did not respond and respected the brotherhood.
The government of Djibouti denied the existence of the rebel group that Somaliland was angry with in two consecutive news on Monday, even though the leaders of Awdal State sent threatening statements to Somaliland from the capital of Djibouti.
