A delegation from Puntland and Galmudug succeeded in establishing a ceasefire between two tribal militias that fought in Jiicboor area in the West of Mudug region, which resulted in the death and injury of around 50 people.
A day ago, the delegation arrived at the places where the fighting took place on the outskirts of Jibor, passing through Saxo-Qurun, and the purpose of the trip was to bring peace to the protracted tribal war in West Mudug.
The delegation that met with the warring parties emphasized how to stop the shooting and bloodshed.
They held separate meetings with the regional authorities of Mudug, Puntland and Galmudug, military leaders and elders.
The delegation said that they succeeded in convincing both sides to cease fire and to separate the opposing forces.
However, the areas where the fighting took place are now peaceful, although the conflict is still felt in the areas where the two militias are located.
