The Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia Abduqadir Mohamed Noor has strongly responded to the recent statements made by ministers of the Ethiopian government.
The speech of the Minister of the Government of Ethiopia was related to the agreement Ethiopia entered into with Somaliland, who repeated many times that Ethiopia is correct in the agreement it entered into with Somaliland.
The Minister of Defense of Somalia said that the statements made by the ministers of the Ethiopian government are misleading and a daydream given to the government they belong to, and they do not harm the government of Somalia.
“Misleading messages on social media to Ethiopia’s Ministers are a nightmare. Ethiopia knows that it cannot take a piece of Somali land, a person who is awake and dreaming is seen, and the result of such dreams is known where they end!” said Somalia’s Defense Minister Abduqadir Mohamed Noor.
The statement made by the Minister of Defense of Somalia comes as the Somali government has repeatedly spoken strongly about the agreement reached at the beginning of this year between the Ethiopian government and the Somaliland administration regarding Ethiopia getting a part of Somalia’s water, and in return Ethiopia will give Somaliland. recognize it as an independent government.
However, the agreement between Ethiopia and Somaliland has not yet been implemented, and both sides have high hopes that the agreement will be implemented, while the Somali government is strongly opposed to the implementation of the agreement.
