The federal government of Somalia has called on the regional governments not to politicize the issues of unity, solidarity, independence and political nobility of the country.

In a press release issued tonight by the presidency of Somalia, it was said that the government has put a lot of effort into improving the cooperation relationship between all the regional governments, especially Puntland, so that it becomes a legal relationship based on the interest of the people and the country.

The Somali government has said that it is committed to continue every effort to improve relations with Puntaland so that the Somali people can have a Somali government that can realize their goals of government.

The government has refrained from politicizing economic, development and humanitarian issues by saying that it is strengthening the duty and constitutional rights of the regional governments.

This news came a few days after the National Consultative Council meeting announced by President Hassan Sheikh was not held, as Puntland rejected the meeting.

Puntland said that there is no Somali government that they recognize at the moment, saying that there is a need to reverse the measures, including the amendments made to the country’s constitution, so that they come to the table.
